Phera is a local-first utility for turning images into PDFs and managing them on your device. No account is required. Your PDFs and photos stay on your phone or tablet unless you choose to share or export them.

Getting started
- Open Home and tap Select Images.
- Choose one or more photos from the system picker.
- Arrange, crop, or rotate pages as needed.
- Set page size, orientation, quality, and filename.
- Tap Generate, then share, save, or open the PDF in Library.
Default PDF options can be changed anytime under Settings → PDF defaults. Theme (light, dark, or system) is under Settings → Appearance.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded to the cloud?
No. Phera stores generated PDFs and metadata on your device only. We do not operate a server that receives your documents. Firebase is used for crash reporting, analytics, and optional update prompts — not for storing your files.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Phera works without sign-in. All core features are available immediately after install.
How do I delete a PDF?
Open Library, tap a document, then use Delete in the actions sheet. You can also long-press (or enter selection mode) to delete multiple PDFs at once.
How do I share or save a PDF to another app?
From the PDF ready screen or document detail view, tap Share to use the system share sheet, or Save to export via the system file picker.
Why is “Scan document” disabled?
Camera-based document scanning is planned for a future release and is labeled Soon in version 1.0. You can still create PDFs by selecting images from your photo library.
Does Phera work offline?
Yes. Creating, viewing, renaming, and deleting PDFs works without an internet connection. Network access is only needed for Firebase services (analytics, crash reports, and optional update notifications).
What happens if I uninstall the app?
PDFs and app data stored on your device are removed when you uninstall Phera. Export or share any PDFs you want to keep before uninstalling.
Which devices are supported?
Phera supports iPhone and iPad (iOS 16 or later) and Android phones and tablets (Android 7.0 / API 24 or later). Layouts adapt to phones, tablets, and foldables.
Troubleshooting
PDF generation failed or is slow
- Try fewer images or a lower quality setting in output options.
- Ensure your device has enough free storage.
- Close other heavy apps and try again.
Images do not appear in the picker
- Confirm the photos exist in your device gallery or Files app.
- On iOS, Phera uses the system photo picker — no full library access is required for normal use.
- Restart the app if the picker does not open.
App crashes or behaves unexpectedly
- Update to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
- Restart your device.
- Email support with your device model, OS version, and what you were doing when the issue occurred. Crash reports are sent automatically via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs.
Storage summary looks wrong
Storage usage in Settings reflects PDFs managed by Phera. Tap the storage row to open Library and review your documents.
