Phera (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a mobile app that helps you turn images into PDF documents and manage those PDFs on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how that information is used, and your choices.
Information we do not collect
Phera does not upload, transmit to our servers, or otherwise collect:
- Images you select to create a PDF
- PDF files you generate, rename, share, or delete
- Thumbnails or metadata from your personal document library
- Your name, email address, or other account credentials (no sign-in is required)
Information stored on your device
To provide its features, Phera stores data locally on your device, including:
- Generated PDF files in app-managed storage
- Document metadata (such as filename, page count, file size, and timestamps) in a local database
- App preferences (such as theme and default PDF settings)
- Temporary working data while you create or edit a PDF draft
This data remains on your device unless you delete it in the app, clear app storage in your device settings, or uninstall Phera. Android backup and cloud device transfer are disabled for app data to help keep your documents private.
Third-party services
Phera uses Google Firebase services for app reliability and improvement. These services may receive limited technical data over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). They do not receive your PDFs or source images.

On Android, Firebase Analytics may use the Google Advertising ID to help measure app usage. Phera does not show ads and does not use this identifier for advertising or selling your data. You can limit ad personalization or reset your advertising ID in your device settings.
Google's processing of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can learn more about Firebase at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
When you share or export a PDF, you use your device's system share sheet or file picker. Any recipient or app you choose is outside Phera's control.
Device permissions
Phera may request or use the following permissions:
- Internet access — to connect to Firebase services described above
- Network state — to check connectivity before network requests
- Advertising ID (Android) — declared so Firebase Analytics can measure app usage; not used for ads
- Photo library / image picker — to let you select images for PDF creation (handled through system pickers; content is not uploaded to us)
Phera version 1.0 does not use the device camera or push notifications. If future versions add features that require additional permissions, this policy will be updated before those features are released.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information handled by the app. On supported builds, local database contents may be encrypted on device. Network communication with Firebase uses HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure; you are responsible for securing access to your device.
Children's privacy
Phera is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Firebase analytics in error, please contact us and we will work to address it.
Your choices
- Delete local data — remove PDFs in the app, clear app storage, or uninstall Phera
- Limit analytics and advertising ID use — on Android, use “Opt out of Ads Personalization” or reset your advertising ID in system settings; on iOS, limit ad tracking in Privacy settings
- Stop using the app — uninstalling Phera removes locally stored app data from your device
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or on our store listing. Continued use of Phera after an update means you accept the revised policy.
